Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Gidi Connect mobile app and websites. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Who can use Gidi Connect
You must be at least 18 years old. Gidi Connect is a nightlife discovery platform and is not intended for minors. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account.
Your content
You own the content you post — photos, videos, posts, comments, stories, and reviews. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and distribute that content within the service, so the app can work as intended. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where content has been shared by others or we are required to retain it.
Community rules
Don't post or do any of the following:
- Harassment, hate speech, or threats against any person or group
- Sexually explicit content or content sexualising minors (zero tolerance — reported to authorities)
- Spam, scams, fraudulent promotions, or impersonation of any person, venue, or brand
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or privacy
- Illegal activity, or promotion of illegal drugs or violence
- Attempts to break, probe, or overload the service, or to access other users' accounts or data
Reporting and moderation
You can report any post or block any user from inside the app. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these terms — with or without notice, depending on severity. If your content is removed and you believe that was a mistake, contact us at the address below.
Venues, events, and businesses
Venue and event information is provided by businesses and public sources and may change without notice. Confirm details with the venue before making plans. Business accounts are additionally responsible for the accuracy of the listings they manage. "Promoted" placements are paid for by businesses and marked as such.
Nightlife safety
Gidi Connect helps you discover venues and events; what you do there is your responsibility. Drink responsibly, don't drink and drive, and comply with venue rules and applicable law.
The service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep Gidi Connect available and accurate, but we provide it without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (for free accounts, zero).
Ending your relationship with us
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. For material changes we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State.
